v Built the standards organization within Huawei Core Network Product Line (CN PL) to a first
class international operation and lifted the company up to the second place holder in 3GPP in
terms of the number of contributions, leadership positions, influence and patents. Led the
technology and process building efforts, recruiting and expansion of the organization to 60
high caliber senior engineers across US, Europe and China. Managed, mentored, developed
strategies, and directed the team.
v Instrumental in establishing and maintaining regular quarterly collaboration meetings between
Huawei and global Operators (DT, Vodafone, AT&T, Verizon, Telecom Italia, Orange/France

v Elected IMTC Board of Directors Member on 1/1/2011. I was the key individual to engage all

v Overall Technical Coordinator and Head of Delegation for all Ericsson activities in the 3GPP
Core Network & Terminals Technical Specification Group (TSG-CT). Responsibilities include
leading a high performance engineering team of twenty senior Ericsson delegates and 5
Working Group Coordinators representing all Product Units in the company as well as
Ericsson Mobile Platform (EMP) with the mission to cover all activities within the CT Working
Groups and CT Plenary.
v As the Ericsson Overall CT Coordinator, my job was to secure timely production of standards
that support business, product goals, standardization strategies and IPRs within the business
areas of GSM, GPRS, IMS, WLAN, Fixed Broadband Access, Mobile Platform, and Service
Layer. Also, ensuring a healthy cooperation with other standardization bodies such as IETF,
3GPP2, TISPAN, and CableLabs and to promote a unified IMS in the industry.
v Member of the Ericsson’s Standardization Project Management Group with responsibility to

strategies to ensure healthy progress of the Circuit Switched, Packet Switched, IP
Multimedia, and Terminal related issues according to the Ericsson’s internal business,
product, IPRs and standardization strategies.
v Technical Manager of the Ericsson delegation, coordination with UTRAN/GERAN
development units, other delegates, as well as coordination with various internal
standardization projects (Security, QoS, Shared Network, IMS, IP Multicast/Broadcast, IMS,
Presence, etc), attend and monitor other 3GPP groups as per need basis.
v Duties to include reviewing technical proposals and contributions, technical concept
development, maintaining awareness of system activities, maintaining awareness of sales &
marketing activities, presenting and defending Change Requests/contributions/Liaison
Statements, establishing and leveraging industry relationships with customers, interacting
and/or blocking competitors, defining standardization strategies aligned with internal product
evolutions, making final decision on tactical/political maneuverings, and generating meeting
reports.
2001 - 2003 Wireless Priority Service Forum – US Government
v Ericsson’s Team Leader for GSM Wireless Priority Service (WPS). WPS was a security
service requested by the US Government due to the 9/11 attack. The service provides
National Security & Emergency Preparedness higher priority in accessing the channels

during emergency situations. The Initial Operating Capability (IOC) and Final Operating
Capability (FOC) phases of the Industry Requirements were developed at the NS/EP
Wireless Priority Service Forum, under the lead of National Communication System (NCS),
and DynCorp / Telcordia in cooperation with major GSM vendors and operators in the US.
The long-term aspects were carried out in 3GPP and IETF for packet-based environment and
multimedia.
v I was in charge of a Team of Technical Experts, Product Managers, and Business Managers
representing Ericsson Mobile Platforms, Sony-Ericsson, BSS/RNS, MSC/VLR, and HLR
organizations. Defined and drove technical and product strategies by active participation in
the Industry Requirement development meetings. I was the main point of contact towards the
Ericsson GSM Key Customer Accounts (Cingular, T-Mobile, and AWS) as well as the
DynCorp account during the sales process.
v As the result of my team’s key contributions in developing the specifications and supporting
the product and sales team, Ericsson received two separate contracts of about $150M worth
for delivering IOC and FOC. These contracts were essential in paving the way to further
business with the US government.
2000
v Ericsson Delegate on behalf of the Ericsson Key Customer Account with duties to ensure
company’s influence in developing Implementation Agreements for 3G mobility support
architecture into MSF architecture.

1997 - 1998 MSC/VLR System Management
v Senior Operative Product Manager with duties to include technical support to Local/Strategic
Product Managers, and customers concerning any market related tasks. Performed prestudies,
and provided support to the feasibility and execution phases of the implementation
projects. Area of concentration included, but not limited to MSC/VLR, IN/CAMEL, 3G, and
technical coordination with other international subsidiaries worldwide. During 1998 went on a
three-month international assignment to the Ericsson Germany to build and strengthen the
R&D relationships between the two System Management Groups. The assignment included
starting the internal 3GPP Circuit Switched UMTS Standardization Project in cooperation with
the Head Quarter in Sweden.
